A guide on how to install new TexJet inks on Texjet echo2 and TexJet shortee2 printer models. Safely unload the system from the current ink set and add the new one.
Texjet ® inks are the new official ink solution from Polyprint. They are specifically formulated to optimize the performance of the entire range of Texjet printer models. Their improved characteristics offer stability, superior white coverage in a single pass, high productivity thanks to rapid curing and improved washout endurance.
To safely switch from the current ink set to the new Texjet inks , you must purge the ink flow system with a cleaner, so that the old ink can be removed from the lines and the new formula can be loaded successfully. For this process, all you need is nine (9) refillable cartridges and a cleaning solution .
Caution : We do not recommend replacing Texjet inks without cleaning the ink flow system of the previous ink set you were using. Mixing ink formulas can cause unwanted clogging issues.
Cleaner charge
A Cleaner Charge is the process of filling the printer's ink flow path – from cartridges to tubes to dampers and finally to the printhead – with cleaning solution . This is basically a very powerful printhead cleaning.
- If you are a Texjet echo2 user, the Cleaner Charge is performed via the adjustment program included in the printer packaging after purchase. Please refer to the detailed instructions of the whole process on our guide here.

Caution : Make sure the Texjet echo2 maintenance tank is empty and reset after charging the cleaner, to avoid risk of spillage.
Ink Charge
The Ink Charge is basically the same procedure as the Cleaner Charge, but this time ink is used to fill the system instead of cleaner.
- TexJet echo2 users should use the adjustment program for this action. A complete guide can be found here .
- Texjet shortee2 users must initiate the ink charge process via the printer software, Digital Factory Apparel Polyprint Edition. Check the process here .
Once the ink charge is complete, perform a nozzle test . Check if all heads are present and the vividness of the ink colors. If only a few or no heads are missing and the brightness of the inks as seen on the transparency sheet is satisfactory, then you can proceed with printing.
Remarks:
- In case of a significant number of missing nozzles and poor ink vibrancy, you can perform an additional head cleaning . Check the nozzle test again to confirm that you have performed a proper head check to begin your printing process.
- Remember to empty the maintenance tank and reset it, in case of TexJet echo2.
